We had such a great time in San Diego. We were able to go with our good friends, the Nyes. Our kids are about the same ages and they had such a good time together. We went to Legoland the first day and then spent most of our other time at Sea World. We also managed to squeeze in a trip to the beach. We went to Coronado Island and it is so beautiful! We were having a great time wading in the water until Hannah got plowed over by a wave. She was soaked from head to toe in her clothes. Needless to say, we left the beach after that and changed clothes back at the hotel. We also explored another site called Balboa Park, which we ended up loving. We plan on going back on our next trip. Our kids absolutely loved Sea World the best though! The nightime Shamu Rocks show was awesome. We watched it every night we were there. It wasn't very crowded and we were able to see every show and ride all of the rides. We had a super hard time coming home from this trip and back to reality.

Hannah's busy month!

Hannah kept us busy this month with plenty of events. She wrote a song for the Reflections contest and it won first place in the school, then first place in the district and then second place at the region competition. We attended lots of ceremonies and she even won some cash prizes for her song. She also participated in her second piano recital. She played two numbers this time and did a great job!

Hannah's Many Birthday Parties

Hannah's 8th birthday was quite a celebration for her. There were so many things she wanted to do, so we split them up and had probably too many parties for her. We celebrated on her birthday night with just our little family going out to dinner and to Build-A-Bear. The next night we had family over for cake and ice cream and then on Saturday afternoon, she invited 20 of her closest friends to the Treehouse Childrens Museum for another party. Overkill maybe, but lots of fun!

Hannah's Baptism Day

Hannah's baptism was such a special event for our family. It's so exciting and so hard at the same time to see your first become so grown up so fast. She was so cute and sweet that day. The man that fills the font on baptism day just happened to forget on our day of course. We went early to set up chairs and realized that there was no water in the font. Allen turned it on, but Hannah was baptized in only about 18 inches of water. It was very hard for a tall dad and a tall daughter to get her under in that little of water, but they did it and it was so special. Hannah immediately went home after the celebration and wrote that baptism memory in her journal.

Christmas 2007

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is new church clothes for everyone. These pictures are taken before church the Sunday after Christmas. It blows us away how fast our kids are growing up!

Hannah is almost eight now and will be baptized in February. She grows about an inch everyday and we're already frightened about her becoming a teenager.

Porter is five and quite a fun little guy. He has a killer smile and keeps us in stitches. He is at the top of his Kindergarten class in just about every category. Right now he loves anything that has to do with Star Wars.

Tate is now one and all over the place. So far this year, we've made it without any injuries ( I guess it's only been three days). He and I have a lot of fun during the day while the other kids are at school.

Christmas morning

Christmas was so much fun this year. The kids
are at such great ages right now. Everything is still so magical and exciting. You can still fool them. One of our favorite traditions is Christmas Eve PJ's. We also began a new tradition this year of reading the Christmas story from the Bible and then hot chocolate before bed on Christmas Eve. It was a lot of fun.

Tate's 1st Birthday

I can't believe we made it! What a grand day it is when you hit the first birthday mark. Tate is such a great baby and so much fun to have around.
His birthday was so much fun. He was timid with the cupcake, but eventually dove into it. He is now mobile and walking all over the place and into everything!
